The National Commission for Human Rights is to take advantage of the bilateral agreement it included with Embassy of People's Republic of China in Rwanda

This Thursday of August 29, 2019 the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Rwanda and the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) of Rwanda have signed an agreement of cooperation on promotion and protection of Human Rights particularly in matters regarding Women’s rights and prevention of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Rwanda. 

The specific objectives of this agreement are to conduct advocacy on women’s rights, eradication of child abuse and raise awareness of the Rwandan Society on protecting and promoting Human Rights.

In this agreement, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Rwanda will provide the necessary support to conduct awareness campaigns through drama on women’s Rights to property, health and safety and on prevention of sexual and gender-based violence in Rwanda.

Both sides appreciate the existing collaboration between Rwanda and People’s Republic of China and they commit to expand and strengthen this collaboration on promotion of Human Rights as well.
